CNet has a fascinating article about exchange rates for virtual currencies. Check out GameUSD.com, a website mentioned in said article that is dedicated to computing exchange rates between currencies used on popular MMORPGs and real-world currencies such as the US dollar and euro. For example, here’s their calculated exchange rate for FFXI’s Gils v. USD:
