So after several months of SMART warnings about imminent hard disk failure, the hard disk in my computer finally decided to graduate from the lab and move on to better things (i.e. idleness in the campus recycling facility), throwing off my carefully-planned work schedule and putting everything on hold until I get my hands on a replacement hard drive. Maybe I’ll do it properly this time and install Gentoo with a virtualized Windows platform.
